VOCATIONAL EDUCATION MODEL IN BUSINESS
A flexible Vocational Education in Business (IME) Model with new and different options has been designed in our faculty. In the proposed model, our students can step into graduation by gaining professional competence with an IME Model that starts with a Compulsory Summer Internship at the end of the 6th semester, continues with a Graduation Project in the 7th semester and is enriched with options in the 8th semester. The IME Model will be enriched by being implemented with protocols to be made with different and numerous businesses. In this way, our students have the opportunity to practice within the scope of their vocational education; in businesses within the scope of the protocol, in businesses they find themselves and businesses with which a protocol will be made (Faculty approved), in real life projects to be made within the scope of University/Industry cooperation, and in Applied R&D projects.
According to the proposed IME Model;
- Students who meet the criteria can complete the Compulsory Summer Internship at the end of the 6th semester, the Graduation Project in the 7th semester, and the Vocational Training in Business in the 8th semester in businesses within the scope of the protocol.
- If they prefer, students can also complete their summer internships, graduation projects, and IME in businesses they find themselves and that will be formalized by the Faculty with Protocols. This option will expand the network of companies that the Faculty has agreements with and pave the way for new collaborations.
- Students who will do IME must have received ISG training appropriate to the workplace where they will do their internship; or have successfully passed one of the ISG 301 or ISG 302 courses.

NOTE: Applications will be made via the portal at https://auportal.bakircay.edu.tr/. Create an Application Form by filling in the requested information on the portal, print the form and sign the relevant section, have it stamped and signed by the company you will be applying to and add it to the portal as a PDF. Have the Company sign the Protocol you will receive from our website and add it to the portal as a PDF. Add the Entitlement document you will receive from your e-government to the portal as a PDF. (Fill in your insurance status by looking at this document as Entitled/Not Entitled) Add your current transcript to the portal. Send it and wait for the internship committee to approve it. You can receive an informational email after approval, if you do not receive an email, you can follow the approval status from the portal.
